The National Harbor in the DC area. Time: Around Noon. It was bright out and probably the worst time to shoot. The sun was exactly on top of us and threatened to wash out anything that I pointed the lens at. On top of that, hard shadows were making anything dark show less detail. I wanted to come back at another time but I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to get back here anytime soon.
This image was taken with a Sony A-100(which I love, I know they are on generation 700 or so but I still love my A-100) , aperture was f-22 and the shutter was at 250 if not faster.

Stormy Seas Photography

I was on my way to photograph a golf course early one morning around 6:30am when I saw this shot. I simply had to pull over and take it. It was a very foggy morning when the sun rose up through the fog. I didn’t get anything nearly this good at the golf course. Sometimes the best shot is the first one when you first get to the site or the last shot as you leave the site. I can not explain it but it is a fairly consistent phenomenon.
